Bibliography:
Introductory
Chapters and
Main Text
Chapters 1-14, 16
(2011 edition =
Fourth Revision)
Although this
Bibliography will contain a number of entries that appear in the Chapter 15
Bibliography, this one is intended to list only sources also found in one or
more of the other chapters as well. Accidental oversights may have occurred.
A Note of Thanks: The
dominant source of books utilized in the preparation of these volumes was the
Union Presbyterian Seminary’s Morton Library of Richmond, Virginia. These were made available through its
kindness of extending loan privileges to outsiders, thereby making available a
massive collection of resources.
Other volumes came from Google Books and are
presented with normal bibliographical information. Those labeled “Google
e-books,” however, refer to volumes circulated without page numbers—for reasons
I do not comprehend. As will be obvious,
internet resources--providing analyses by both professional scholars and
dedicated students of the sacred text--are becoming increasingly available,
numerous, and on more specialized topics.
